Aprons appeared in Neolithic times, played significant roles in the lives of men and women throughout history, served as billboards of society, and invoke memories--both good and not-so-good. Each antique and vintage apron is unique from the choice of style, fabric, color, embellishments and to the way that the apron artist assembled it. An apron may appear similar to another, but upon further inspection, we find it is different--perhaps the way the embroidery stitches were done.
Apron Ties Past to Present is a a very popular presentation to varied audiences. To highlight parts of the talk, actual aprons from the collection are used. Groups are already scheduling their's well into 2014. If interested or needing more information, please contact Carol Brodbeck, at brodbeck@apronartistry.com.
